Armed police were called out to reports of an attempted robbery in south Ceredigion.

Dyfed-Powys Police officers, including armed response, were joined by a police helicopter after reports came in just before 11am of an attempted robbery in a layby on the A487 between Plwmp and Synod Inn.

Police said that no arrests have been made following the incident but are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area at the time to contact 101.
