THE Coastguard was called out this afternoon to help a person in trouble on the coast path.
New Quay Coastguard was called to the help of a walker who had fallen and hurt their ankle.
They said: "At 14:19 this afternoon the team received a page from our Milford Haven operations room to assist with a medical evacuation from the coastal path in New Quay.
"The casualty had suffered an ankle injury from a fall and was subsequently unable to walk.
"The team carried the casualty up off the coast path by stretcher to an awaiting ambulance.
"The team stood down 16:05."
