Fire crews were called to the outskirts of Bow Street at lunch time Wednesday after a council lawn mower caught fire.
These photographs sent to the Cambrian News show the ride-on mower in flames on a grass verge near Bow Street railway station on the junction between the A487 and A4159.

Fire crews were called to the scene and successfully dowsed the flames and scorched earth at around 1pm on Wednesday.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service said: “At 12:04pm on Wednesday12 August, the Aberystwyth crew were called to an incident at Bow Street Village, Aberystwyth, following a report of an industrial lawn mower, well alight.
“Crews extinguished using 1 Hose Reel Jet, 1 Breathing Apparatus and 1 Thermal Imaging Camera. Then dampened down surrounding grass area.
“An environmental pack was also in use.
“Crews left the scene at 13:14pm.”
A spokesperson for Ceredigion County Council said: “Earlier this afternoon (Wednesday), a ride-on mower caught fire while in use.
“The incident was managed safely, and the fire was extinguished promptly. No one was injured.
“We would like to thank Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service for their swift response and assistance at the scene.”
