A “HARDWORKING and dedicated” lifeboat stalwart has been given an award for over 20 years of service.
At the Criccieth station Christmas party, helmsman Gordon Emery was presented with his Long Service Badge.
Beginning in 1997, Gordon has proved “invaluable” as a helmsman and as a tractor mechanic.
Lifeboat operations manager Peter Williams was effusive in his praise for Gordon.
“Gordon is a very loyal, very devoted member of the team,” Peter told the Cambrian News.
“He’s one of the longest-serving members – only two or three staff have been here longer – and is very dependable.
“He’s a very useful guy and always goes the extra mile.
“All of his us here would like to thank him for his service. Here’s to another 20 years!”
