Multiple rescue teams have been called out to help two people drifting in the sea at Pwllheli.

The crew of the Pwllheli RNLI D-class lifeboat, the ‘Robert J Wright’, were called out at 8.24pm on Monday, 10 August, following a report of two people in a dinghy drifting in the sea near Haven’s Hafan y Môr holiday park.

The volunteer crew searched the area, with Criccieth RNLI lifeboat and Rescue 336 helicopter also involved in the call.

After being informed that both people were safe and sound ashore, the lifeboat returned to the station at 10.25pm.

“This was a good result for everyone,” a Pwllheli RNLI spokesperson said.

“The lifeboat was washed down, refuelled and made ready for service by 10.50pm.”
