Bro Ardudwy Churches & St John’s
FOLLOWING a busy Christmas period, the Wardens of St John’s and St David’s churches have thanked all of the organisations and businesses that gave up their valuable time to decorate and donate Christmas trees to the Christmas tree festival. An open invitation to a celebration of a New Ministry Service at St John’s Church is extended to everyone. The service will mark the formal completion of the Bro Ardudwy Ministry Area which now stretches from Bontddu to Llandecwyn and will provide an opportunity to formally welcome Rev Canon Beth Bailey and the ministry area team to Barmouth. The service will be led by the Rt Reverend Andrew John, Bishop of Bangor and will start at 3pm on Sunday, 17 January at St John’s, followed by refreshments after the service.
Centenary
ON SUNDAY, 17 January, Peggy James, a resident at Hafod Mawddach, will celebrate her 100th birthday. She hopes to be able to attend the service at St John’s at which the Bishop will be officiating because she has had a long association with the parish of Llanaber with Barmouth. There will be a buffet at Hafod Mawddach at 12.30pm in Peggy’s honour.
