Barnardo’s Big Toddle

MORE Than 60 children under the age of five from Cylch Feithrin y Tonnau, Ysgol y Traeth and Oasis Day Centre, Barmouth, took part in the annual Barnardo’s Big Toddle on 14 July. The children were dressed up as wild animals or wearing face-masks they had been busy making to toddle round the Wern Mynach conservation area.

When they finished they enjoyed a biscuit and drink as well as time to play on the pirate boat.

They raised a grand total is £455.80 and thanks go to all who took part and raised sponsorship money for this well-known children’s charity.

Car wash

ON 4 August, the Christadelphians from Worcester will be washing cars from 2pm to 5pm on the forecourt of the lifeboat station. All funds raised will be donated to the RNLI.

Philosophy

FOR those interested in philosophy, Jasper Elgood is giving a series of four talks in July on Thursday evenings, each starting at 7.30pm.

The remaining one, on 28 July, is entitled What is ‘Why’? – Questioning Questioning.

First Friday

THE First Friday Film for August will be, Miles Ahead it is a biopic of Jazz musician Miles Davis. It will be shown on Friday, 5 August, at 7.30pm at the Dragon Theatre.

Theatre

PARADISI theatre company from Criccieth will be performing a comedy written by Geraldine Aron at the Dragon Theatre. There will be two evening performances - on 10 and 17 August.
