Borth was decked out on Bank Holiday weekend for the village’s first-ever arts festival.
Locals decided to celebrate the creativity of the village by organising BorthFest from 24-27 May.
The weekend saw a variety of events from art workshops, live music, debate, and a craft fair, to a ‘hero and heroine’ scarecrow competition.
BorthFest said: “The village really burgeoned, with many family groups following a beautiful created by the Borth’s Hannah Mann, to see all the inventive scarecrows.
“Ben Irurzun from Interior design masters cut a ribbon to open the festival at Libanus, director Ed Thomas discussed show Hinterland, and Peter Wiegold ran a music workshop in the newly improved arts venue ‘Star of the Sea’.
“It was a weekend with so many joyful, diverse, inclusive events which truly showcased this uniquely resourceful and creative village.”
Families turned out to watch the Borth Ultimate Synchronized Swimming Team, specially created for BorthFest, raising funds for Ysgol Gymunedol Craig Yr Wylfa swim lessons.
Over £400 was raised for the Borth Wall Transformation Project at a gig by local ban the Refreshers.
The newly revamped wall of a former garage was also showcased, with a Muriel Delahaye art award presented to artist Bodge for the artwork.
