A GENEROUS bride has donated all the proceeds from the happiest of her life to a charity close to her heart.
Jenny Page spent many happy childhood summers paddling in the waters of Barmouth Beach.
Whilst relaxing on the sea shore, she would occasionally spot a distinctive orange boat heading out into the sea to save lives.
As a result, when Jenny, of Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, agreed to marry Nick Evans in August at Henley’s historic Guild Hall and guests were asked to donate to the RNLI in lieu of presents.
When she visited Barmouth on Tuesday, 30 October to return the collecting box to Barmouth RNLI treasurer June Davies, Jenny was delighted to discover that over £450 had been collected.
“I’ve been coming to Barmouth for family holidays for years and have long been an admirer of the RNLI and knew many of the Barmouth crew,” said the bride.
“I was delighted to discover that they are to have a new boat next year and my husband and I are very happy to be able to help support this wonderful organisation in this way.”
