A kind-hearted Brownie from Barmouth has raised money for the RNLI by completing a challenging sponsored silence.
Lexi Cartwright chose Barmouth RNLI as her chosen charity when she completed her charity badge.
The youngster raised £171, which she has proudly handed over to coxswain Peter Davies.
Self-confessed chatterbox Lexi decided to do a 24-hour sponsored silence as her challenge.
She was only allowed to use a white board to communicate.
Although she smashed the challenge, she said by 9pm she found it “hard going”.
Lexi said: “I chose Barmouth RNLI as I had previously completed my water safety badge here and know how important the RNLI are in Barmouth, and Barmouth is all about the beach. Daddy is also RNLI.”
Proud dad and volunteer RNLI crew member Dan Cartwright said “it was very peaceful” during Lexi’s sponsored silence.
Upon receiving Lexi’s sponsorship money, coxswain Peter Davies said thank you to her for her hard work and for supporting Barmouth RNLI.
He also wished her well as she prepares to leave the Brownies to join the Girl Guides.
