AN INAUGURAL food festival for Pwllheli is “100 per cent on”.

The Gwyl Fwyd Pwllheli committee met on Tuesday evening to discuss the next steps for the town’s first food festival which will be a celebration of the area food and drink, alongside live music.

Darren Morley, who sits on the committee, is excited for the event which will take place on Saturday, 8 June, and he feels it will bring a “feel good factor” to Y Maes.

“It’s 100 per cent, we’ve been very lucky to get our main sponsorship from Harlech Foodservice and sponsorship from Pwllheli Town Council and AHNE Llyn for which we’re very grateful.

“It’s going to be a free event and should really bring everyone together. We don’t have a great deal going on at the moment so this should bring a good atmosphere, a feel-good factor to Pwllheli.”
