A Ceredigion arts venue has announced the appointment of Hannah Firth as its new Chief Executive and Creative Director.

Hannah takes up her post at Cardigan’s Mwldan towards the end of the year when Dilwyn Davies steps down after a 33-year tenure as Chief Executive.

Hannah joins the organisation after a 25-year career at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff where she currently holds the role of Artistic Director and Co-Director.

Her experience in navigating the Welsh cultural landscape will be invaluable to Mwldan as it continues to grow as one of Wales’ most celebrated cultural institutions.

”We look forward to welcoming Hannah to the team and collaborating closely in the coming months as she prepares to take on her new role and build on Mwldan's extraordinary foundations, and I am delighted to leave what has been a life's vocation in such capable and experienced hands,” said current CEO, Dilwyn Davies, who is due to step down at the end of the year.

“Dilwyn leaves Mwldan after 33 years of service that has seen it grow into one of the most highly valued Arts venues in Wales and we can now look forward to that legacy continuing under Hannah’s leadership.”
