Community council

CLLR Eryl Jones-Williams reported that concerns have been raised over transport to and from Ysgol Ardudwy, with the buses being full.

A double-decker has been provided in the morning, but the bus bringing pupils home is a single-decker and children have to stand.

The school and council transportation department are investigating.

At the village hall meeting, the members are working hard to get additional income, £850 has been given by Co-op towards a £3,000 scheme to upgrade and mark the flooring in the main hall.

Concerns over bills to hall users have been sorted, the meeting heard.

Deputy head at Ysgol Ardudwy, Aled Williams, has been appointed temporary head by the governors following the sudden retirement of Tudur Williams.

The chair of governors Maldwyn Jones retired as chair and Annwen Hughes was appointed the new chairman. Eluned Williams was appointed vice chair.

There is one vacancy and Elin Williams has been asked to fill the seat.

Annest Williams is chair.

Consultation is ongoing to allow three-year-olds at the school and thus would help Ysgol Feithrin, school staff and parents.

So far there has been support, with no objections.

The school and Ysgol Feithrin are working well together, the meeting heard.

Football Field

THE clerk reported that she had received confirmation from CCG that they had received the cheque for £52 regarding the annual rent but that she still had not received a copy of the lease back yet.

Cllr Sian Edwards reported that “no dogs” signs had been sent to the football club by Adrian Williams, Gwynedd Council and it was agreed to send him a note thanking him for these.
