Phil Lee Thomas and Friends
AN evening with Phil Lee Thomas and Friends takes place at the rugby club, Smithfield Street, on Friday, 25 October, at 7pm.
Tickets are £10 on the night or £8 in advance from Llanidloes High School.
All proceeds to support the Additional Learning Needs department and ASD Centre at Llanidloes High School.
Autumn show
THERE will be an autumn show at the Minerva Arts Centre between 26 October and 2 November.
This will be a group exhibition of work by Llanidloes based artists, paintings, prints and collage.
Exhibiting artists are: Jeremy Andrews, Minna Barnes, Junko Burton, Kelli Di Capri, Vivi-Mari Carpelan, Leanne CordingleyWright, Sandy Craig, Irene Gardiner, Osian Gwent, Erin L Hughes, Annie Levy, Charlotte Lloyd, Diane Rose, Trin Stephens and Bronwyn Strugnell.
It opens on 26 October at noon until 3pm.
Music and arts club
THE club presents ‘Northumbrian Fiddle and Pipes’: the return of Andy and Margaret Watchorn with traditional music from Northumbria and beyond featuring smallpipes, fiddle, guitar and voice.
This takes place on Saturday, 26 October, at 7.30pm at the Function Room, SY18 6BZ.
Entrance £8, students £3, members free.
Gardening club
THE Llanidloes and District Gardening Club starts off its agenda this year with a talk about the development of the gardens at Cwm Weeg, Dolfor by Wolfgang Schaefer.
They meet in the Elephant Inn, Longbridge Street at 7.30pm.
All are welcome.
To join for the year the subs are £5 or a visit for the evening £3.
Complimentary teas and coffees are available or you can buy drinks from the bar. They also raffle plants during the evening, tickets are £1.

Wings Appeal
THE Llanidloes Branch of the Royal Air Force Association wishes to thank all those who helped raise £1,817.
Each year they rely on the good will and generosity of the local community to support our fundraising activities, which go to the main Wings Appeal for RAFA Welfare and to keep the local branch active.

Christmas trees wanted
IF you’ve got an old Christmas tree you no longer need, Llani Christmas Lights can make good use of it.
The committee is also looking for tinsel, baubles and other tree decorations for one of it’s displays so if you’ve got trees or decorations you no longer need, drop them off at Llani Bikes in Great Oak Street or the X-Angelus Tattoo studio.
