AT THE meeting on 7 June members were reminded that, despite the sunshine, a venue needs to be sought for the Christmas meal. Also a date is to be arranged for the walk with Linda from Wiseman’s Bridge to Saundersfoot.

The speaker for the evening was WPC Sharon Gibby, a police dog handler and trainer. She gave an excellent insight into the training of both dogs and handlers and explained the various areas of expertise in which the dogs are trained. But the stars of the show were her three dogs, Blod, KO and Kim. The latter gave a very enthusiastic demonstration of his ability to sniff out explosives.
