Members gathered at Cawdor Hall on 18 December when thanks were expressed to the mayor and town council for their help in providing space for the mounting of the 2018 Poppy Appeal and to the Scouts and all who have helped and contributed.

Through the generosity of local residents and the hard work of collectors, over £10,000 has already been raised.

Philip Ling kindly hosted the Guess the Weight of the Cake competition on Victorian Night, which was won by Gerwyn Morgan.

Those wishing to attend the branch annual dinner which is being held at the Clwb Rygbi at 7pm for 7.30pm on Friday, 18 January, are reminded to book before Friday, 11 January, as detailed in the chairman’s letter.

Following the meeting, refreshments were generously provided by members and friends.
