AN ABERYSTWYTH launderette worker who stole cash has been fined by magistrates.

Gwendolyn Davies, of 24 Parc Craig Glais, Queens Road, pleaded guilty to stealing money belonging to Mererid Jones on two occasions between 9 and 17 November and 2 and 5 December last year when she appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates last week.

Davies, 57, was fined £120, and must pay £120 compensation, £85 costs and a £49 surcharge.
