An Aberystwyth man has been jailed after breaching the requirements of a suspended sentence order for carrying a knife.
Leigh Mark Gregory Ward, of 17 Custom House Street, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 4 November.
The 29-year-old admitted a charge of failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Aberystwyth Magistrates' Court on 20 May by failing to attend a planned unpaid work appointment on 7 October and supervision appointments on 8 and 15 October.
Ward was handed the suspended by magistrates for possession of a 4.5 inch serrated knife in Aberystwyth on 1 May this year.
Magistrates jailed Ward for 14 weeks.
He must also pay £60 costs.
