A CARDIGAN man has appeared before magistrates in Aberystwyth to deny an assault charge.

Clodagh Percival, 53, of 5 Queen's Terrace, appeared at Aberystwyth justice centre on 15 August to deny a charge of assault by beating.
He is accused of assaulting Brendan Vernon on 17 December last year at his home address and will face a trial next month,
A trial has been set for 26 September at Aberystwyth justice centre.
Magistrates released Percival on unconditional bail.
