A Lampeter man accused of twice assaulting a woman has been remanded in custody by magistrates.

Gary Evans, of 34 Maes y Deri, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on 14 May.

The 36-year-old pleaded not guilty at the hearing to assaulting Melissa Virgo between 1 October and 30 November last year in Lampeter, as well as again on 11 May.

Evans is due to stand trial on the charges before Aberystwyth magistrates on 9 July.

Magistrates remanded Evans in custody.
