A man has been held in custody charged with two Aberystwyth burglaries and an assault.

Diyar Ali, of no fixed abode, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 28 October.

The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to the burglary of Gwesty guest house on South Road on 20 October where keys were stolen.

Ali also denied the burglary of 24 Queen Street on 20 October where tomatoes were taken.

Ali also pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman at Gwesty guest house on 21 October.

Ali is next due to appear before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 18 November.

He was remanded in custody until that date.
