A man who stole five jackets from an Aberystwyth sports shop has been jailed by magistrates for two weeks.

Daniel Harris, of no fixed abode, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 4 April.

The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing five Adidas jackets to the value of £299.95 from the Sports Direct store on Pier Street in Aberystwyth on 30 June last year.

Magistrates jailed Harris for 14 days and ordered hi9m to pay full compensation to Sports Direct of £299.95.
