A Trawsgoed man has been found not guilty of an Aberystwyth nightclub assault following a trial.

Thomas Cleeton, of Hendre Villa, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court for trial on 11 July.

Cleeton had pleaded not guilty at a previous hearing in May to assaulting Anthony Grew at Yoko’s nightclub on 19 November last year.

The 32-year-old had also denied damaging Mr Grew’s coat during the same incident.

Cleeton was found not guilty of both charges following the trial.
