X-ray facilities at hospitals in Dolgellau and Pwllheli are set for upgrades as part of a programme estimated at almost £270,000.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a contractor to carry out enabling works for the replacement of existing X-ray systems at Dolgellau Hospital and Bryn Beryl Hospital.
The work is expected to take place simultaneously across the two community hospitals and will include minor building, mechanical and electrical works required to accommodate the new equipment.
Both X-ray rooms are situated on the ground floor of their respective hospitals, close to the main entrances.
Tender documents published by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership put the estimated value of the works at £269,510 excluding VAT, or £323,412 including VAT.
The figure covers the contract across both hospital sites rather than either individual hospital.
Businesses have until noon on 23 October to submit bids, with the contract expected to begin on 3 December.
Work is currently scheduled to run until the end of March 2027.
The procurement is being carried out through an open competition, with bids assessed 60 per cent on cost and 40 per cent on technical quality.
Dolgellau Hospital provides community healthcare services to the Meirionnydd area, while Bryn Beryl Hospital serves communities around Pwllheli and the Llŷn Peninsula.
The planned work forms part of preparations to replace the existing X-ray systems with new equipment at both sites.
The published tender relates specifically to the enabling and associated construction works needed for the replacement programme.
An enquiry deadline for prospective contractors has been set for 16 October, ahead of the final tender deadline a week later.
If the procurement proceeds to the timetable currently advertised, the improvement work is expected to be completed by 31 March next year.
