DYFED-POWYS Police received reports about a lorry being driven through Llanddewi Brefi shortly before 11am yesterday.

A few minutes later the vehicle crashed at an unclassified road - known locally as Hostel Road - blocking it completely.

The road remained closed for a number of hours before the lorry could be recovered.

A police spokesperson said the driver, a 48-year-old foreign national, Ioan Sandu, was charged with drink-driving and remanded in to custody.

He was due to appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court today.
