TWO Meirionnydd schools have been praised for their “outstanding” service at a national awards evening.
Eleri Jones and Wini Owen from Seren Fach Nursery, Brithdir and staff from Ysgol Cefn Coch, Penrhyndeudraeth travelled to Cardiff on Friday, 12 October to an awards ceremony held by Estyn to celebrate excellence in education and training in Wales.
Ten education providers were awarded on the night in recognition of their “excellence in inspections”.
“We are proud to receive an award to recognise the hard work and commitment that lies behind achieving an ‘excellent’ judgement from Estyn following an inspection earlier this year,” said Eleri Jones and Wini Owen.
“The award reflects the combined effort on our part and the community, and we are proud of the enthusiasm of our staff, and the support of parents.”
Ysgol Cefn Coch in Penrhyndeudraeth were also acknowledged for their excellent standard.
