PEOPLE in Bala have been given a special preview of what the town’s new £10m school campus will look like.
The first meeting of the Bala Local Group was held at Ysgol y Berwyn, welcoming community representatives to discuss the development of the new learning campus, which will open in September 2018.
Headteachers and chairs of governors from the town’s schools; representatives on behalf of Bala Town Council, Bala and Penllyn Sports and Recreation Association; Friends of Neuadd Buddug; along with the three local councillors and Gwynedd Council officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, a presentation on the campus’ most recent designs was given by the architect responsible for the project, and a discussion was held on the possible use of the community resource that will be developed in the town of Bala over the next two years.
The group will hold another meeting in the autumn term to continue the discussion on the community use of the campus, and a further update will be given on progress of the project as a whole.
