A PROMISING primary school pupil has picked up a prize.
Ysgol y Traeth pupil Eve Williams has won the Barmouth Safer Neighbourhood Teams’s Spring Safety Competition.
Community Support Officers Sian Davies and David Hughes have congratulated five-year-old Eve on filling out her activity booklet with “mature and charming” answers.
The booklet focuses on keeping safe in the home and on the road, as well as looking after personal belongings.
The competition started in the School’s Easter fair back in April.
PCSO Davies said: “I’m glad the school gave us this opportunity to help the kids learn, as the booklet covers important safety messages that can be carried through life.”
After a month of careful deliberation, Eve was presented with a prize donated by The Original Factory Shop, Barmouth on 26 May.
PCSO Hughes added: “We would like to thank the pupils of Ysgol Y Treath for taking part, we received many booklets and it was very hard to pick a winner.
“Our thanks also go out to Barmouth’s Original Factory Shop, whose co-operation made the competition possible.”
