AN exhibition at an art gallery in Dyffryn Ardudwy held in aid of Barmouth RNLI has raised over £687 for the charity.
The exhibition, which was dedicated to raising money for the local RNLI, opened at Oriel Ty Meirion gallery in April and ran until June.
A spokesperson for the Barmouth RNLI said: “The final figure has been checked and they have raised a fantastic total of £687.79 for the RNLI to help save lives at sea.
“A huge thank you for supporting RNLI Barmouth and raising such a huge amount in such a difficult time.
“Also a big thank you to the exhibiting artists including embroiderer Alison Holt, painters Ffion Gwyn, Harri Carmichael, Ken Bridges, Kim Dewsbury, Peter Hedd Williams, Shan Ellis and Valerie Land, printmakers Iain Davidson and Ian Phillips, Iona Pickard with knitwear and crafts, Jane Williams with pottery.
“And thanks to Katie Bentham and her sea glass jewellery, sculptor Naomi Bunker and jeweller Robert Goldsworthy.”
Mima, who owns the gallery, gave thanks to everyone who supported the exhibition and helped raise the amount for the RNLI.
She said: “As a little gallery in a village location just coming out of a very long lockdown and still operating under restrictions this is a fantastic result.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our customers who supported the exhibition.”
Mima has also visited the lifeboat house in Barmouth to hand over the cheque for the money raised from the gallery to Barmouth RNLI coxswain Peter Davies.
