A Gwynedd farmer was found dead in a slurry tank, an inquest hearing has heard.
An inquest opening into the death of Islwyn Owen in Caernarfon on 18 September heard the 67-year-old was found at his farm near Bala.
The inquest has been adjourned for further investigation, but coroner Kate Robertson, said: "I have reasonable cause to suspect that his death was unnatural."
Mr Owen had been in Llanycil when he was reported missing on the evening of 4 September.
