RESIDENTS of Tregaron viewed plans for the town’s planned Cylch Caron Integrated Resource Centre last week.

The centre will house a range of services, including a GP surgery, community pharmacy, outpatient clinics, community nursing services, long-term nursing care and day care.  

There are also plans for 34 flats for people who require extra care and support to remain in their own homes and six integrated health and social care places for people who no longer need to stay in hospital, but require more support before they return home.

Last Tuesday also gave locals a chance to meet officials of the Mid Wales Housing Association, recently appointed Cylch Caron development partners.

The day began with Ceredigion County Council and Mid Wales Housing Association officers visiting Dr Sion James at Tregaron GP surgery.

Roofus, Mid Wales Housing Association’s mascot, joined officers to meet primary and secondary pupils from Ysgol Henry Richard and visited Bryntirion Resource Centre and Tregaron Hospital.

Cllr Catherine Hughes, Chair of the Cylch Caron Stakeholder Board, said: “This was a day for the community to meet Mid Wales Housing Association, from local children, to the GP, to the residents of Bryntirion Resource Centre and Tregaron Hospital and the wider community.”
