What a whopper!

Edward Inglefield, a holidaymaker from Crickhowell, snapped this photo of a giant jellyfish he and his wife Carol encountered while strolling on Poppit Sands on Wednesday.

“We were both pretty astounded,” Edward, currently staying at Helyg Fach Caravan Site in Aberporth, told the Cambrian News.

“In fact, when we first spotted it from a distance we thought it was a seal.

“The size of the jellyfish was pretty amazing so I took a photo of it with Carol’s foot alongside to gain an impression of its scale.

“As well as being really large it was also quite beautiful, although we have no idea what type of jellyfish it was.”
