As an international food tourism ambassador for Wales, operator of a food tourism destination and international award-winning cheese-maker, I was very sad to read about the beautiful Tree project that is dividing the community in Borth. As an outsider I understand both views.

I totally get the designer’s ideas behind the tree but understand the impact it will have on the landscape.

I think an alternative location would be best, bringing the focus away from the distraction it would place on a naturally unspoilt horizon.

That is not to say I am against the Tree, but it would stand out so blatantly. Perhaps it should be further back on the promenade so people could capture the vision without it intruding into the landscape for those who want a clean-cut horizon.
