DYFED Powys’ Police and Crime Commissioner has visited Llanbadarn Fawr after a local councillor raised road safety concerns over Primrose Hill.
Plaid Cymru councillor Paul James said he had a “very positive and productive” meeting with Plaid’s Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner, Dafydd Llywelyn, in the latest stage of his campaign to get traffic-calming measures on Primrose Hill.
Cllr James launched a petition in September after a spate of incidents on the road in the village, including an incident where a schoolboy, Oisin Morris, suffered a dislocated ankle after he was hit by a car earlier this year.
Since then there have been other incidents, including one crash where a car ended up resting against the wall of a house just moments after pedestrians were walking on the pavement.
The petition has now gained more than 200 signatures, and Cllr James invited the Plaid Cymru police commissioner to see the problems for himself.
“The meeting on Primrose Hill last week with Dafydd Llewelyn was, in my opinion, a very positive and productive one,” Cllr James told the Cambrian News this week.
“I am grateful to the commissioner for giving up his time to meet with me after I raised my concerns with him a number of weeks ago."
