Police in Gwynedd have found a body on a beach.

North Wales Police said the discovery was made following a call from a member of the public.

Officers searching for a man called Andrew, missing from the Shrewsbury area, discovered the body of a man on the beach in Tywyn, on Wednesday, 25 September.

“Formal identification is yet to take place,” a police spokesperson said.

“The local coroner has been informed and Andrew’s family are being supported by specialist officers.”
