Pontdolgoch community raises £2,500 for Bronglais charity

The people of Pontdolgoch near Caersws have raised £2,500 for Cyfeillion Bronglais League of Friends.

The hospital charity was delighted to receive a cheque for that amount from Jane Gnosill who, together with her friends, organised a garden party in memory of her husband Pete who was cared for at Bronglais.

“Raising such a fantastic amount is a wonderful achievement and reflects the generosity, hard work and community spirit of everyone involved,” a CBLF spokesperson said.

“We are extremely grateful to Jane and her friends for organising such a successful event and for choosing to support Cyfeillion Bronglais League of Friends.”

The life of ‘Pete the Chapel’ as he was affectionately known, was celebrated at a garden party in May.

A minimum donation of £5 was requested to raise money for CBLF, and a raffle was also held.
