Footsore Lampeter postman Barry Davies remains on course to complete the entire 870-mile length of the Wales Coastal Path in 33 days.
Barry set out from Chester on 10 May for an 11 June finish in Chepstow intent on raising £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.
And as if the challenge was not daunting enough, the intrepid postie set himself a time limit of 33 days, meaning he has to average around 26 miles a day in order to complete his goal.
Now two thirds of the way round, Barry is reportedly suffering sore feet because of the unrelenting pace he has maintained over rough terrain.
Yet he has been heartened by financial donations which have seen him easily surpass his original cash target and currently stand at over £3,700.
“The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured,” said Barry, prior to setting out.
Yesterday, Barry was setting out from Milford Haven knowing he still had another 11 days days of hard walking to go.
Donations can be made at Barry’s fundraising page.
