Nefyn Golf Club’s outgoing captains, Richard Williams and Frances Randall, have handed over a cheque for £7,033 to their chosen charity, Hafod Hedd, the dementia day service unit based temporarily at the old Ysgol Hafod Lon campus while Bryn Beryl Hospital undergoes a multi-million-pound refurbishment.
Richard and Frances organised a number of events over the past year, including a fashion show, golf day, treasure hunt, Christmas concert and quiz night.
Jane Hartshorne, day service manager at Hafod Hedd, said the money will be used to help buy new furniture and develop the garden at Bryn Beryl.
