Students have organised a fundraising event in Tywyn tomorrow night (Saturday) to raise money for Mind Aberystwyth.
Out of Mind featuring Chris Pomeroy and The Magic Lantern House Band takes place at the cinema of the same name tomorrow at 8pm.The evening will begin with a short film made by Penglais School, Aberystwyth student, Charlie Hopkins, covering the theme of the evening - mental health awareness. The special screening will start at 8.15pm to kick off of the fundraising event.
This will be followed by two live music performances from Chris Pomeroy and the Magic Lantern Band.
Raffle tickets will be on sale before and during the event and, once the film comes to an end, the winner will be announced as the Magic Lantern cinema staff set up the stage for live music performances from both Chris Pomeroy and the Magic Lantern House Band.
"This event has been fantastic to organise and is for an amazing cause so we would greatly appreciate it if you all could take some time and have a Saturday night out for charity!" a spokesperson for the event said.
Tickets are available to purchase from Cegin Fach Caffi or The Magic Lantern Cinema Box Office (cash only).
Tickets cost £6 for the short film and entry from 8pm, or £3 entry for the live music only from 9pm.The event has been organised by students from Aberystwyth's Penglais School sixth form and Newtown College to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind Aberystwyth.
