Madam,
Like many townspeople I was deeply moved by the events leading up to the march past the cenotaph and why we were there to share a moment with those who had died since the end of the war.
I began thinking of the local people who had given their lives and in so many cases no known names. It began to occur to me that many places bear the names of such people, and I had the idea of naming a place or object of such a group of individuals that all could know.
Having lived on Waunfawr for 20 years I have always thought it odd that the road linking Penglais Hill top and Primrose Hill is one such no-name road. Why not seek help, from a local historian, to put together a number of names that might be used to remind worthy locals who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Yours etc,
Don Woodward, Spa View, Waunfawr, Aberystwyth.
