ABERYSTWYTH’S Rhys Norrington-Davies played 90 minutes for Wales tonight as Rob Page’s men were held to a goalless friendly draw by Finland in Helsinki.
A much-changed and young Wales side were frustrated at the end after creating much the better chances and Harry Wilson missing a penalty.
Former Ysgol Penglais pupil Norrington-Davies produced an impressive display at left wing back with some solid defending and surging runs down the flank.
His father Patrick said: “Very solid performance from Rhys. Defensively very good, some good attacking moves but as ever needs some improvement in the final third.
“But another great and proud moment for all the family and friends.”
Thoughts now turn to the World Cup qualifier against Belarus at the Central Stadium, Kazan, Russia on Sunday and then Estonia at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday.
Wales will be without Ethan Ampadu, Tyler Roberts and Brandon Cooper, who are unable to travel to Kazan for the match against Belarus due to visa issues as they were unable to get their Russian visas approved in time.
The squad has also been hit by several injuries with Aaron Ramsey, Joe Rodon, Neco Williams and George Thomas missing out because of injury.
