The aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic is still being felt on the Welsh language, with Estyn reporting a drop in standards of pupil’s reading skills. With census data also showing a decline in the number of Welsh speakers, a target of reaching one million Welsh speakers by 2050 faces an uphill battle. Chris Betteley reports.
