AN open day is being held at Newcastle Emlyn fire station in a bid to recruit more on-call firefighters.

The Show and Tell Recruitment Day is being held Newcastle Emlyn Fire Station on Saturday, 1 June.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are currently seeking people who live within 5-10 minutes of the fire station.

The event is being held between 9am and 1pm with anyone interested asked to come along for a chat with the crew and witness some live demonstrations.
