THE A44 between Eisteddfa Gurig and Llangurig is closed this evening following an 'incident'.

Both lanes on the mountain road are currently closed with police advising motorists to find alternative routes.

A post by Dyfed-Powys Police on social media reads: "The road is currently closed due to an incident.

"Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey."

Traffic Wales says the road is currently closed in both directions to recover a vehicle.
