A Festival of Communities will take place at Aberystwyth Arts Centre this Sunday, bringing a vibrant, cultural, musical celebration to the venue.

The Ethnic Minority Welsh Women Achievement Association (EMWWAA), in partnership with the Welsh Government and Aberystwyth University, and with support from Ceredigion County Council, Carmarthenshire County Council, Aberaid, and Hywel Dda Health Board on 11 October.

The festival will bring together people from across Wales to celebrate the richness and diversity of our communities. Through music, dance, health, culture, food, and conversation, it aims to highlight the beauty of our cultures and the strength that comes from our shared experiences.

In addition to the cultural programme are two panel discussions focusing on social cohesion and bone health, alongside a variety of stalls addressing key health issues and showcasing cultural traditions from around the world.

“This event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities, as well as White Welsh families,” a festival spokesperson said.

“We invite you to listen to powerful personal stories, share experiences, and celebrate the vibrant heritage that shapes Wales today. Enjoy delicious global cuisine and explore the unique flavours and traditions each culture brings.

“Attendance is free, including refreshments and a buffet dinner.”
