PORTHMADOG Town Council has installed a new memorial bench to remember the town’s lost soldiers.
Porthmadog town councillors Nia Jeffreys, Jason Humphreys, Selwyn Griffiths and chairman Gwilym Jones unveiled the new bench at the war memorial in Porthmadog this weekend.
Cllr Nia Jeffreys who proposed the bench said: “The inscription on the bench reads ‘Porthmadog Town Council - to remember 100 years since Armistice 1918. This bench will be a lasting tribute to the people from this town who sacrificed so much’.”
