LLANWNNEN WI reconvened on Monday, 3 September, at Capel-y-Groes Vestry after the summer break.

Twm Ebbsworth, one of the hard-working young people from the village, had been invited to talk about his experiences in visiting Patagonia with the Urdd movement.

After the educational presentation, Twm adjudicated the WI’s monthly competition, for a postcard.

Ceinwen Roach won the first prize, with Carol Thomas in second place and Alice Davies in third.

The evening’s raffle was won by Doris Jones.

Light refreshments were then enjoyed by everybody and the vote of thanks was given by Ceinwen Roach.

At the end of the evening, the monthly meeting was held, with Carol Thomas presiding and the relevant business was conducted.
