An Aberaeron man has appeared in court to deny a charge of threatening a man with a machete.

Ian Tanner, of The Flat, Ianthe House, 17 Market Street, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 26 June.
The 69-year-old pleaded not guilty at the hearing to threatening Jamie Howells with a billhook machete “in such a way that there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm to that person” at Ianthe House on 8 April last year.
