A Penparcau man has been remanded in custody charged with assault, intentional strangulation, and criminal damage.

Brett Nickless, now of no fixed abode, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 16 May.

The 30-year-old is charged with assault and intentional strangulation at an address in Penparcau on 14 May.

He is also charged with criminal damage to a gate on the same date.

Nickless is next due to appear before Swansea Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 17 June.
