A Borth man has been handed 16 weeks in jail for an “unprovoked attack” on a woman in Aberystwyth.
Shaun Tooley, now of no fixed abode, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court last week.
The 36-year-old pleaded guilty at a hearing in June to assaulting Miriam Amer on Upper Queens Road on 29 April.
Sentencing Tooley to 16 weeks in jail, magistrates said the assault was “an unprovoked attack of a serious nature.”
Tooley must also pay prosecution costs of £150.
